At Western Gardens, we are all about for what grows here and what better way to find out more than to read success stories from others.  See what others have shared about their gardening secrets:

The garden that grows up instead of out.

The Flip Flop Flower Pot is a unique space saving plant stand that will liven up any front porch, deck, patio or kitchen. Made of recycled material it\'s the latest \"green\" product to hit the lawn and garden industry.

Perfect for herbs, edibles, annuals or any combination. The innovative design allows water to flow through the pole and encourages \"to the root\" watering.

I do not cut back the perenials in the fall, but in early spring I cut them back then divide if needed before the warm spell arrives. I do this early March. Also I take my husbands sheet rock scraps and peel the paper off the board then till it into the veggie garden to loosen the clay soil.

Hi,

I recently became aware of Cactus and Tropicals and I am very interested! I’m aware of your various services and variety of plants you have and I think that we could help each other out. I run Freebies2Deals.com, which is the fastest growing deals and coupon business in Utah. I reach over 20,000 Utah visitors every day. I would love to do a review and giveaway with Cactus and Tropicals. As it is springtime and with Mother’s Day right around the corner, everyone is looking to start planting outside! I am wanting to offer my readers a great deal, give them a review of your company and get them excited to come to your location! Please let me know if you are interested. I’d love to hear back from you soon!

Thanks,

Hello,

I recently read an article about living Christmas tree rental, where you get a potted tree for the holidays, and then return it so it can be replanted the following year. After a little research, I found your nursery listed on www.LivingChristmasTrees.com.

I called, and found out you don\'t actually offer this service, but I\'ll bet it would be very popular if you did. Please read this article from \"Good Magazine,\" and consider offering this service to your customers. I know me, my family, and my friends would be very interested in something like this! A little media exposure, and this could be a very big opportunity for you guys!

Thank you.

Hi Michael!

On the bottom of the website there is the Sandy address but the Salt Lake phone number. A couple of customers have called and pointed that out. Thanks!

When I am starting my garden in the spring I ALWAYS mix in bumper crop (an organic soil builder) to the soil. It helps out so much and is the secret I tell all my neighbors!
